Completing the various programs prior to being released from prison transforms men to lead productive lives thereby cutting down on recidivism. Mentors come along side these men and help them transition and maintain good standing in their communities. Second Hope Ministries provides for men’s physical needs once they are released for approximately the first thirty days until they are able to get back on their feet.
Our biggest challenge is finding sustainable support partners to help finance the ongoing needs and growth of the ministry. Over the years, we have had the privilege of leading many men to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, have baptized them, and now the men we baptized are baptizing others. We have seen men who have “graduated” from this ministry continue in regular church fellowship, and some have even baptized their own children and grandchildren. It is amazing to watch their lives be transformed as they lead their families to Christ.
