Completing the various programs prior to being released from prison transforms men and women to lead productive lives thereby cutting down on recidivism. Mentors come along side them and help them transition and maintain good standing in their communities. Second Hope Ministries provides for men and women’s physical needs once they are released for approximately the first thirty days until they are able to get back on their feet.
Our biggest challenge is finding sustainable support partners to help finance the ongoing needs and growth of the ministry. Over the years, we have had the privilege of mentoring many men and women , guiding them toward positive life changes, and now those we once supported are helping to guide others. We have seen men and women who have “graduated” from this ministry continue to stay connected, building strong support networks, and some have even gone on to mentor their own children and grandchildren. It is inspiring to watch their lives transform as they step into leadership within their families and communities.
